In-house Programs
ChemoCentryx has created a powerful drug discovery engine that now has a proven track record in producing novel small molecule compounds with excellent pharmaceutical profiles. Leveraging our deep portfolio of drug leads, we are now committed to advancing at least one program into clinical studies every twelve to eighteen months.
We are developing several therapeutic programs independently. Our most advanced independent program, Traficet-EN™, is currently being evaluated for safety and pharmacokinetics among inflammatory bowel disease patients with moderate-to-severe Crohn's disease.
This year, we are planning to file an Investigational New Drug application with the Food and Drug Administration for a novel compound to treat multiple sclerosis.
In addition, we have made tremendous progress in our pre-clinical stage cancer programs. Using our proprietary drug discovery engine, we are targeting two chemokine receptors involved in tumor growth. The most advanced of these programs targets a previously undiscovered "orphan" chemokine receptor identified at ChemoCentryx that appears to have potential anti-angiogenic activity in a number of types of clinically important cancers.
